Quentin Skinner is the Barber Beaumont Professor of the Humanities at Queen Mary, University of London. He is a fellow of the British Academy and the Academia Europaea, as well as a foreign member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei, and other learned societies. His scholarship, which is available in more than twenty languages, has won him many accolades.
