Jay Winter is the Charles J. Stille Professor of History at Yale University and a distinguished visiting professor at Monash University. He is also one of the creators of the International Museum of the First World War in Péronne, Somme, France. In 1997, as co-producer and co-writer of "The Great War and the Shaping of the Twentieth Century," he received an Emmy Award for Best Documentary.
