Unexpectedly, I was so deeply moved by a "bestseller" as it is so different from all the "classics" Ive ever read before, especially when I am reading the chapter "Would You Rather." This book provides a different perspective from a counseling psychologist, showing you or reflecting yourself to you. It presents a real dilemma: what would you do if something you cant afford really happened? Its not just a slogan but a real emotion that everyone has. I was in this dilemma before I started reading this book. Luckily, it really gave me some answers: its just one of those things. How many times do good things inexplicably come our way too? And looking death in the eye would force us to live more fully. Actually, I realized that I have no reason to immerse myself in a suspicious illness. So, Im grateful for this book, and I think I just need it.

I exceeded the limit for a short review. Its more like an informal book review. While reading this book, I was really, really touched and felt that it would be great if I could have a conversation with Lori. Inside the back cover of the books sleeve, there is a photo of the author - maybe because I finished reading this book - and I feel that her smile carries a warm power, as if the photo is already conveying something. It is the quality of a therapist who is accepting, complete, and will always listen to you.
But actually, when reading the book, I always inappropriately thought: getting cancer itself is enough to break a family, and I remembered the high cost of short counseling sessions I once had, and I wondered how many families can afford it for a long time.
