Few thoughts after reading this, I kind of like the original one better, at least you have good guys you can root for. Villain is better off being just pure evil, a "Yukaihan" with mysterious background is intriguing enough. Im not interested in tragic origin of a sick bastard. What am I supposed to sympathize with him? Now it just becomes an over-the-top revenge porn, its like Joker starring I Spit on Your Grave. And what the hell with 1986? The year when Watchmen came out. Its 2023 and superhero comics still suffer from deconstructionism of Allan Moore wannabe writers. Supervillains outnumbered heroes and kill them all, okay, same setting like Old Man Logan, makes sense since every hero has rogues gallery, except usually most of them are in prison! OMG the cape, they killed Supes. Nah, at least thanks to copyright, House of Els family crest isnt on it, so I dont feel a thing.
