In 2006, YG Entertainment's highly anticipated newcomer group, BigBang, made a fiery debut. With their impressive looks and talent, the five members G-Dragon, TaeYang, SeungRi, Daesung, and T.O.P caught the attention of many.

However, in August of 2006, they had not performed on stage or released any official songs. Their only public appearances were in the 10-episode documentary series featuring their daily lives called "BigBang". Despite this, the series gained immense popularity with over 1.6 million views online, signaling a promising start for the group.

Their first single release in August of 2006, featuring the songs "Shake It", "We Belong Together" and "This Love" all had lyrics and music composed by BigBang's leader G-Dragon. Their first mini-album, released in 2007, featured the hit song "Lies", which swept across the Korean music industry, also penned by G-Dragon.

BigBang's activity style was distinct from that of other groups. They did not spend the majority of their time in practice rooms, but rather in creative spaces to work on their music and stage performances. They brought their unique energy and creativity to the stage and quickly became one of the top idol groups in the industry.

2006年YGEntertainment重点新人组合BigBang火热登场。外貌质实力兼备的BigBang，五位成员G-Dragon、TaeYang、SeungRi、Daesung和T.O.P.06年8月没有一次单独的舞台表演、没有一次正式地公开演唱歌曲，对于YG公司的5人组合BigBang公开过的只有10集的真实记录片。但仅仅这一个记录片就引起了很多人的关注。记录片《BigBang》在网上的收看次数就达到了160万次。而这一切仅仅是BigBang组合的开始。06年8月发行的首张单曲碟主打歌《摇摆》《Webelongtogether》《Thislove》均是Bigbang队长G-dragon作词作曲.07年推出的首张mini专辑主打歌曲,横扫韩国乐坛的《谎言》亦是出自他手!组合BigBang的活动方式与众不同。他们不像其他组合一样，都聚在一起活动，而是突出了每个成员的实力，各自活动适合自己的歌曲。这也是YG公司代表理事杨铉锡一直以来想尝试的模式。G-Dragon、TaeYang在小学六年级时便加入YG，六年来一直接受严格训练。在YG全力打造下，终于在2006年8月19日于韩国首尔奥林匹克竞技场举行的YGFAMILY10周年演唱上正式出道。
