Thirteen contemporary "corporate fairy tales" reflect a blend of romanticism and cruel metaphors that highlight the real-life struggles that individuals face at each significant stage of their lives, from birth, growth, independence, love, and aging. As we navigate through life, we face various difficult situations, but the path ahead requires us to move forward courageously, with the support of those who share our journey.

The novel, "Is it really okay to fall in love at the slaughterhouse?" takes place against the backdrop of the famous Shanghai landmark "1933," once a renowned slaughterhouse. A couple goes on a blind date at this location, seeking love while simultaneously facing pressure from real-life demands, such as careers and family. Unbeknownst to them, they are like animals waiting to be slaughtered and subjected to the test of fate. This story mirrors our own lives, reminding us that we cannot avoid the inevitabilities of life, such as aging, illness, love, and loneliness. Instead, we must lean on each other for support and comfort as we navigate through the labyrinth of life. Fear is a hindrance that will keep us from moving forward, so it's essential to confront it instead of letting it rule our lives.
