厌女：对女性歧视的现状

1. "Misogyny" is translated as "hatred of women". However, many men with misogyny actually like women. It sounds unbelievable that they "hate women" but "like women". Therefore, "female contempt" can be a better translation for misogyny.

2. Some women even study erotic literature to understand what it means to be a woman. Other womens behavior in bed is unknown to men, so seeking advice from men with more sexual experience can be helpful. However, they will eventually realize that what is portrayed is not real women, but mens fantasies.

3. In erotic literature, women not only do not resist but fully accept and even turn it into their own pleasure. Women are treated as a dumping ground for men to ease their frustration and anger. However, if women want this kind of treatment and enjoy it, men will not have to feel guilty.

4. Mens same-sex social desire is maintained by hatred of homosexuals. The mechanism for confirming mens subjectivity is objectifying women. By consistently treating women as sexual objects, the mutual recognition and solidarity among the subjects of sex can be established. "Having (at least one) woman" is a condition for becoming a sexual subject. Mens same-sex social desire is based on misogyny and is maintained by hatred of homosexuals. This is the brilliant theory that Sedgwick teaches us. The above theoretical terms can be replaced with more easily understandable colloquial expressions, namely, the solidarity between people who mutually recognize each other as men is established by excluding and discriminating those who cannot become men and women. To fulfill their same-sex social desire, men not only need to discriminate against women but also strictly manage the boundary with homosexuals and constantly exclude them. This in turn proves how fragile men are.

5. Only men can become "the third gender", while women cannot, which proves the tremendous strength of the gender binary system. "N genders" can be established theoretically but do not exist in reality, which can also serve as evidence by contradiction.

6. Regarding the reason for hatred of homosexuals, Michel Foucault [Foucault, 1976] believed that it was due to the asymmetry of sexual behavior between the "penetrator" and "penetrated". This asymmetry refers not to the physical differences of the genitalia but to the discrepancy between the active and passive, and the subject and object of sex. Because of this asymmetry, "being in a womans position" becomes a psychological trauma for men and is known as "feminization". Therefore, homosexual men become a symbol of "feminized men."
