The book was intricately translated. At least for my taste and reading capability. I saw from Zhihu comments saying that some sentences were mistranslated and give off an "MT" vibe. I will try to read other copies of Mr. Yangs works before jumping to any conclusions.

On Story:

For any story to be touching, it has to be sincere first. I can almost feel the murmuring of Stoner came from afar and whispering to me how he really managed to squeeze the most of his life and how miserable he feels in those days where sorrow seemed to be unstoppable as he took all that life has to offer.
