Edith, who was a gentle young lady, using her whole life to escape, from nowhere, to nowhere. Finally, she was trapped by herself, because that was the only person that can be trusted. On the lined face, on which mouth murmurs Willy and Gracie, I can see no sign of a happy young girl like young Gracie long ago.
