There are many individuals I admire greatly, but the person who tops my list is Abraham Lincoln, the great American liberator. Though he was born into poverty, Lincoln's hard work and honesty led him to become President of the United States. What impresses me most about him is his unwavering commitment to doing what he believed was right, even if it was unpopular. Additionally, Lincoln possessed remarkable patience and tolerance towards those who opposed him, handling their discourtesy with admirable restraint. Furthermore, he exhibited true strength in forgiving his adversaries after the Civil War, treating them with kindness and generosity. I will always remember the opening words of his famous Second Inaugural Address: "With malice toward none, with charity for all..." These words are inscribed on the walls of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., a testament to his legacy and impact.
